daily lives. At T2M, we&#8217;re constantly immersed in projects that seek to stay ahead of the curve, improve processes, and reduce costs \u2014 and one thing is becoming increasingly clear: technology doesn&#8217;t solve everything. <\/p><p>The question \u201cquality or technology first?\u201d seems simple, but it carries important implications that can delay digital transformation and technological evolution.<\/p><p>It&#8217;s very common to see initial excitement when learning a new tool or encountering a potential technological innovation. This, in itself, is a great thing. It&#8217;s important to always strive for improvements in everyday life. But when excitement comes before understanding the processes and user needs, it can become a trap.   <\/p><p>This often happens in projects where innovation is the team&#8217;s top priority. They&#8217;re more interested in starting development than &#8220;digging deeper into the solution.&#8221; Development begins, architecture and tool definition are decided on the fly, the process doesn&#8217;t follow a logical path, and as a result, the technology fails to deliver real value to the client. And the project ends up having to take a step back. Only when quality concepts are incorporated \u2014 where user pain points are understood, expectations are aligned, and the process is restored \u2014 is it possible to move forward solidly.    <\/p><p>Quality is about clarity, consistent delivery, and validation. When the foundation is well-structured, technology becomes an ally. Quality isn&#8217;t there to solve chaos \u2014 it&#8217;s there to scale what already works. This suggests that excessively broadening participation can dilute the effectiveness of quality communication, weakening its positive effects (CHE et al, 2023). <\/p><p>Digital transformation is indeed about technology. But, above all, it&#8217;s about culture, processes, and people. Technology can&#8217;t transform itself. It&#8217;s important to understand that quality is essential to a project. However, it can&#8217;t deliver on its own. In our experience, quality does come first. It helps prioritize, choose the right activity, at the right time, for the right problem. It paves the way for technology to move forward.
